Trinity College of Engineering was proud to be the technical consultant to the neighboring Panchayats of Kalliyoor and Venganoor for their Sansad Gram Vikas Yojanas using the funds from Members of Parliament. Our team had meetings and site visits with the Panchayat presidents and council members.
We submitted project proposal reports which were highly appreciated by the Panchayats. Trinity is also the official engineering college associated with Nemom Block Panchayat for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for economical housing. It helps that our Civil Engineering department has its own consultancy service.
Our ECE faculty Anu, Gayathri and Nishi prepared and conducted program with Venganoor towards making Panchayat a digital finance panchayat. The same faculty along with our NSS leads Rakesh and Sanjay convinced the Trivandrum Mayor’s Office to allow our volunteers to help with the Attukal Pongala cleaning up. Their superb effort was widely recognized and we were presented a commemorative memento by Mayor V. K. Prashanth.
To seek the young budding engineers Trinity organized a school level Embedded workshops series called eWhiz Kids. Technical team from Trinity conducted more than 20 workshops in different schools in Trivandrum.
A task was given in the workshop, on the basis of the orientation class and the best team from each school was invited for the final program conducted in Trinity college of Engineering on 10th December 2016. Around 250 students participated in the event and Dr. G R Public school won the first prize of Rs.20,000 and trophy. MVHSS, Arumanoor and Attingal Govt HSS for Girls came 2nd and 3rd. We congratulate and thank the Trinity Admissions team for the excellent conduct of the eWhiz workshops.
