Academic Eligibility

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. However candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

Merit Quota: Candidates should have passed and be ranked in the KEAM for Govt. Admission.

Management Quota: Qualified in the KEAM /JEE exam for Management Admission.

NRI Quota:  Students are exempted from qualifying in Entrance Test.  But, the following addl documents are required to be submitted at the time of admission under NRI quota:-

 (a) Copy of VISA & Passport of the sponsor

B.Tech seats in government and private engineering college across Kerala are distributed as follows

(A) State Merit (SM) – 50%

(B) Economically Weaker Sections in General Category (EWS) – 10%

(C) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) – 30%

  2. Muslim (MU) – 8%
  3. Other Backward Hindu (BH) – 3%
  4. Latin Catholic and Anglo Indian (LA) – 3%
  5. Dheevara and related communities (DV) – 2%
  6. Viswakarma and related communities (VK) – 2%
  7. Kusavan and related communities (KN) – 1%
  8. Other Backward Christian (BX) – 1%
  9. Kudumbi (KU) – 1%

Lateral Entry

Candidates who have Diploma in engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examination, or an examination recognized equivalent there to, by the state Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of 3 years from an institution approved by AICTE, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final years Diploma Examination are eligible for admission.

Fees

The tution and other fees will be charged as per the guidelines of Government of Kerala. In the management quota, scholarships are provided to meritorious students related to their plus two marks. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech course under NRI quota should be a Child/Ward/Dependent of an NRI and should enclose a declaration from NRI. Copy of the following documents duly attested by Gazetted Officer of Central/State Government to prove the NRI status should be enclosed with the application form.
